John Hayman born 10th April 1887, Buckfastleigh, Devon, England, United Kingdom, was the first Hayman in Malta. He was in the Royal Navy and was stationed in Malta during the war. John met his wife Angiolina Panajotti on the Island of Malta, Angiolina was a housewive.

John and Angiolina had seven children, John Patrick, William, George, Frederick, Arthur, Maryand John Baptist Francis Anthony Emmanuel (my grandfather, better known as “Paddy”).

They resided first in Cospicua and then in Zurrieq.

John Baptist was born on 8th December 1936 in Malta and moved to England where he met Anne Harteveld, they had three children together; John, Angelo and Maryann. John had a daughter already, Maria Concetta (Connie), and she moved to England to be with her father in 1968 at 12 years old.
